点评：This day trip was sold to us at our resort. The video advertisement looked absolutely amazing, looked like a beautiful modern resort promising an amazing day experience. We were picked up from our resort right on time in a lovely bus. All was looking very promising. Lovely driver, good little bus. Arrived at the port and we were checked in promptly. Then we walked out to the vessel. I was a bit concerned getting on, it looked like an old double story fishing boat. I was instantly a bit sceptical about the quality of the day as we had paid quite a bit for the family to experience this trip. They stated to us it’s a 40-45 minute boat ride weather dependant. We went on a lovely calm day but the boar ride both ways was 1 hour and 5 mins. We pulled in to the island and the island itself looked absolutely magical. Just like all the pictures. We were so excited! Crystal clear waters, welcomed by lovely Fijian people singing it was lovely. We were all hustled of the boat and told to go to the main “shack” for instructions. The main shack where the bar was with some seating was in extreme disrepair. All the paintwork and wood was rotting, all sand flooring. Then a small ?stage like area with a large book box that they later blasted like a rave for the remainder of the day. We all gathered inside and were provided with a brief explanation of ammenities offered. We were then told “fish feeding” would leave on a boat in 15 mins. It didn’t allow much time for sunscreen or to get changed so everyone was hurrying around. The boat for fish feeding, again was a steel boat, with x1 small “glass bottom section”that the majority of the boat could not visualise. Only maybe the front ?4 passengers. The rest of the occupants couldn’t see anything as it was completely covered in for the rest of the boat. The “glass bottom” itself was heavily cracked and in a state of disrepair. The drivers hardly spoke to anyone. Experience lasted ?15-20mins. We went back to explore the island. We were given morning tea that consisted of x2 options of dry biscuits, tea or coffee. Dismal. All the buildings were in extreme disrepair. Some with nails hanging out ect. We were told we could use the pools and ammenities while on the island. We arrived to be told pools are closed. There was a lot of rubbish and broken pieces of glass scattered around which made it hard to walk around and avoid, especially because there is nowhere that is not a sand ground. You need to wear some sort of footwear. There appeared to be plenty of staff around, all were quite friendly but none really went out of there way to help you with anything. There was a few activities provided throughout the day, I have to say all the activities listed were performed/provided but it was all extreamly LOW quality. Like the most basic of basic. It’s such a shame because the island itself is absolutely stunning. We arrived at 10am. By 12 we were counting down the hours until he could escape and go home to our beautiful resort. We took the time to walk around the island. The pity anyone who has spent the money to stay here, we had a look at some of the rooms and I cannot believe they are even using them they are so old, awful and dilapidated. Actual holes in wooden decks, nails hanging out ect. I cannot believe a resort in this state operates at all. The awful rooms appeared to be the majority but there was a small section the appeared newer and to be fair, those rooms (looking only at the room) looked like a basic 2.5-3 star. Mainly because of the magical views. The whole resort was super run down. I think in the ?60-70’s when it was built it would have been stunning. But it’s been neglected far far too long. We did the turtles, fish feeding, snorkeling, cooking class and swam in the clear seas around the island. The snorkeling was good, lots of fish to see, disappointing no explanation or anything from the men driving the boat, not did they care or assist if anyone needed anything. A young girl was crying and panicking in the water saying help me help me, the men on the boat didn’t bat an eyelid or assist, so I swam over and got the girl back to the boat, even then- they didn’t even assist her back on to the vessel and her parents had to grab her up. ?no apparent duty of care to the occupants. Lunch was basic but ok. Served hot chips, chicken, pork, ?3 different salads, bread rolls. Drinks bear wine soft drinks were provided throughout the day. Afternoon tea was scones tea coffee which was nice. Don’t go upstairs at the shack, I think this area should be locked up so people don’t go wandering up like we did, it was completely abandoned. Rubbish everywhere and looked like a dusty, grimy dirty dump ground for any old curtains, ect like- literally old rugs and curtains and rubbish all of the floor…. Overall my entire party and everyone on our tour bus talking about it on the way home were extremely disappointed in the day and experience. It was a complete rip off. It was not what was advertised and promised. It’s hard because technically they delivered on everything that was offered but it was beyond poor quality and for the prices paid- a complete rip off.
