Just a short drive out of the city, and suddenly you’re surrounded by towering sand dunes, whispering pine forests, and the gentle sound of waves rolling in. The scent of sea salt filled the air as I kicked off my shoes and walked barefoot along the smooth, golden sand, letting the cool breeze wash over me like a deep exhale.
The landscape here is wild and untouched in the best way windswept grasses, scattered driftwood, and tide pools that shimmer like glass. I took my time walking along the shore, watching dogs sprint through the surf and families laugh as kites danced above them. It’s one of those rare places that feels both expansive and intimate perfect for reflecting or reconnecting.
I brought along a book and a picnic, settling into a cozy nook tucked between dunes where the wind was gentler and the only soundtrack was the distant gulls and waves. No need for fancy distractions Formby provides peace by just being.
