Trailhead location: -21.11702661646261, 55.45045448898453. There are limited parking options along the street
Hiking trail is shaded for the most part, however it is considered strenuous due to the incline and constant switchback. The first segment towards the Tisanerie des 3 Salazes tea house is the steepest with unforgiving and unrelenting switchbacks. So if you can make it pass this point, you should give yourself a pat on the back as the rest of the route towards Col du Taibit is quite a bit easier. At the final 1 km or 20 min stretch, you will be treated to the view of Cirque de Cilaos
I didnt continue the journey to Marla as the clouds are rolling in and it started to drizzle. but that should take you another extra hour each way from the Col du Taibit end point
