刘易斯篝火之夜的点评
点评：For 364 days a year the quaint cosy town of Lewes nestles quietly and unassuming between the twin Sister's of Brighton and Eastbourne. But, on one night a year the town of Lewes holds court and hosts the biggest Bonfire celebrations in Europe. During the day on November 5th, Lewes comes alive, it crackles with noise, energy and colour. Then as darkness falls and its many Bonfire Society's emerge into the darkness the whole town seemingly rocks to the sound of bangers and rockets. The small cobbled streets and alleyways fill with smoke and thousands of bystanders, and the air itself erupts with various different Firework displays as the Bonfire Society's of Lewes battle to be the best. But be warned, the Guy Fawkes celebrations aren't for the faint of heart, its very loud, very smokey, and very very noisy. The Town itself is sealed off by Train and Road, ALL car parking is suspended, so you'll need to arrive in Lewes early and wait all day. The streets are packed and overcrowded, almost uncomfortable as you battle for a spot to see the many processions. There is a lot of waiting around during the evening, and you may need to dodge thrown Fireworks from the processions. But, what a spectacle it is. All the hard work and fundraising from the Bonfire Society's throughout the year come together in a truly unique and spectacular event with a History and atmosphere like no other. The evening rounds of with the Firework displays just after 10pm, and what a spectacular show it is. Its an event that will test your bravery, fitness, and stamina, but what a Night it is. Simply spectacular.
