点评：Brief history: Developed by the Japanese colonial government in 1912 for the purpose of resource exploitation, Gwangmyeong Cave was a site of forced labor and exploitation during the Japanese colonial period. After its closure, the cave was used as storage for salted shrimp for over 40 years when the city of Gwangmyeong purchased the cave and transformed it into a historical and cultural tourist attraction. Gwangmyeong Cave is considered one of the best cave-themed parks in South Korea. The cave, once a dead mine, has recorded to have attracted over 1 million visitors every year.
The cave is 56 KM away from Incheon Internatinal Airport. Make sure to check out all the attractions ( Underworld Cave, Light Space, Wormhole, Golden Road, Gold Waterfall, Cave Aquarium, Cave Arts Center, etc) inside the cave and do not miss the media show at the Cave Arts Center that is repeated round the clock - every 5-10 minutes or so. It is a very impressive light show projected onto the entire cave wall. How well the graphics and the animations projected onto the entire cave is truly mesmerizing. Take lots of pictures!
