点评:To say I am angry is an understatement. After driving three hours to get to this event, we arrive at 8.15 to be told the event has been cancelled.
There was no social media to notify customers, no coms what so ever from this event. When speaking to a steward, we were told there was a power cut. You will get an email tomorrow.
I can understand that this happens in events, but this is a lighting show, and there must be a procedure for this in the event management plan and risk assessment. Back up generators or some kind of onsite electrical team.
To make matters worse, when I asked the question on their social media, I was asked to email them privately, and my comments were deleted from their Facebook page.
I also noticed that all of the other comments from customers asking and complaining about the same thing had been deleted. This is not very transparent if they are deleting comments.
One comment stated that this happened last year, so there is a history of this happening at this event.
What was more upsetting was that the customer had travelled to Pitlochry and paid £180 for a hotel last year to be told it was cancelled. They repeated the trip this year, and the same happened again. This post has been deleted from their page.
I managed to speak to a couple of people who were also waiting for answers, and customers for the 7.15 showing had been told that it was cancelled at this point, so I don't understand why other customers were not notified.
Customers were still showing up at 9 p.m. At that point, I saw what looked like the production team and stewards getting off a coach, looking like they were going home.
It is clear that this event seems to have a history of a lack of communication and learning from their previous years.
I wasn't going to leave a review, but as my comments have been deleted from their Facebook along with others, I thought it was only fair to make people aware of the issues with this event.
