Poor bike fit and no help in sight

点评：The shuttle and luggage transport service was well organized but the bike rental fell well short of expectations. Great bikes but I knew right away mine did not fit and let them know. The response was that the bike was not adjustable at the stem and I should try it and call first thing in morning if it wasn’t working out. Upon calling I was informed, once again, that the bike was not adjustable and they did not have a replacement. It became obvious to me that they were unwilling to help me out. As a result I had an uncomfortable ride of over 200 km and ended up with a very stiff neck and numb fingers.
It seems incomprehensible to me that a bike rental agency would purchase bikes that cannot be adjusted in front as merely adjusting seat height is not sufficient for creating a good fit. The unwillingness or inability of staff to be helpful added to the disappointment of the poor fit. Renters beware: know what dimensions of bike you need and what adjustments generally have to be made for that, and insist on them being made for you.
