The Tasting Lodge @ Llanerch Vineyard的点评
点评：We followed the brown road signs "Llanerch Vineyard," expecting to encounter a visitor centre with information about the vines and process, a possibility of a tour, and an outlet shop. If you just turn up, then you can see some vines, but it just seems to be a hotel and a restaurant. The nearby woodland walk around the lake was nice. They did sell wine produced there and their satellite vineyards in the bar of the restaurant. The staff on the front desk (assume for hotel) had no knowledge of the Vineyard activities when asked. Apparently, you CAN have a Vineyard tour, and there are also wine tasting sessions, but I think you need to consult and book through the website. There's nothing onsite when you just turn up to suggest otherwise. The prices in the bar of the estate wines are around £10-14 for 250ml and £30-40 per bottle. There are smaller measures available from 75ml. I a white wine Poplar, which was very drinkable and slightly off dry. Also had the limited edition Pinot Noir red. This was also enjoyable but I preferred the Poplar. In my opinion, they are missing a trick here, with lack of information. Unless, of course, the two ventures are separate and somehow in competition with each other and it's deliberate. I find that hard to believe.
