点评：The Ship of Fools Fountain (Narrenschiffbrunnen) is located just north of Museumsbrucke on Plobenhofstrasse. It is the work of sculptor Jürgen Weber and was erected here in 1988.
What you see is a curious bronze sculptural composition of a small wooden ship overfilled with characters sailing in a world of doom. It is a depiction of Dürer's woodcuts on the topic of the moral satire 'Das Narrenschiff' by Sebastian Brant (1494). The figures seen include Adam and Eve, Cain as a child in addition to allegorical figures of violence, war and destruction.
Note: sculptor Jürgen Weber also created the similarly provocative and satirical sculptural fountain called Ehekarussell (1984) at Am Weißen Turm. It is also worth viewing while sightseeing around Nuremburg.
