Heartless Service at Our Mother's Funeral Teas

点评：We were a party of 25, made to feel like an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. The staff were unfriendly and unaccommodating, with some family members unable to sit at the main table. My sister and I were charged extra for sitting at a different table so we could be closer together, despite the café not being full.
The staff's behaviour was callous; our half-finished food was cleared away prematurely, and a waitress rudely placed a napkin in my aunt's half-full cup of tea.
When I voiced my concerns, a staff member named Elaine justified charging us for 27 places instead of 25. Elaine also responded with a cold "I'm sorry you feel this way" comment with no sign of sincere regret or admission. My sisters jacket at one point grabbed from behind her and moved without any consideration or comment to her that it was in the way.
Given the nature of the event, we expected sensitivity and understanding, but we were met with indifference. The burnt scones only added insult to injury. This café's proximity to the crematorium should mean they are familiar with hosting such gatherings, but their lack of compassion was staggering.
Avoid this place if you're looking for respectful and empathetic service during a difficult time. Banchory is very close for alternatives.
