点评：the question on most people's mind are: is this 15 min (149 euros) flight worth it?
just keep in mind of several caveats
1. underwater waterfall is an illusion
2. you need several weather elements to cooperate (sun, cloud, wind, rain) during your 15 min in sky
- the sunnier the better
- the less cloud the better
- no wind is absolutely necessary
- no rain is also necessary
No wind and no rain are more important than the amount of sun and cloud you encounter. this is because ripples on the water surface will distort or destroy the underwater illusion, causing you to see "nothing"
the pilot usually do 2 flyovers. I saw it on the first flyover, but not the second. the second flyover was a failure because wind was picking up and obliterate the underwater waterfall illusion.
in short , this flightseeing is somewhat a risky undertaking. you need so many factors to cooperate during your short time up in the sky. the passenger before or after you may have entirely different experience from you. the wind may pick up during the 15 min you are in sky, but then stop once you land.
this 15 min flightseeing trip is typically booked out 1 month in advance. but there are always last min slots available - you just need to whatsapp or email them. I was given at least 5 different last min slots during the 5 days i was in Mauritius.
besides Lagoonflight, which is a seaplane, there are also several helicopter companies (Corail Helicopters, Mauritius Helicopter Limited, etc) operating the same trip. price for helicopter is naturally higher and depends on sufficient number of passengers per flight to take off, unless you charter.
