Salzburg Hauptbahnhof的点评
点评：I arrived in Salzburg by plane landing in the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Airport. There are regular trolleybuses running from the airport to the city centre as well as other parts of the city. The main hub for these is at the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof which has a nice square outside the front of it so it is a good meeting place.
The railway station has a very beautiful foyer with high ceilings and there are paintings of different scenes on the walls.
From here you can walk down a slope and there is an information centre on your right as well as the OBB (Austrian Railways) ticket office where there are helpful staff available who speak good English able to assist with any travel queries you may have.
There are a number of retail units on the underpass as well including Le Crobag, Spar and a book shop which also sells souvenirs and snacks.
To get onto the platforms there are lifts and escalators and it is easily accessible. There are trains to many parts of Austria leaving from this station as well as local services which cross the border into Germany to Freilassing, Munich and Stuttgart.
When I visited the station was clean and tidy and there were staff available to assist if necessary.
I found the Austrian trains to be clean and well presented and a pleasure to travel on.
