点评：Took a taxi to Playa Del Carmen, first port of call at the beginning of the Quinta Avenida shopping walk, near to the Ferry Port to Cozumel Island , 'Parque Los Fundadores'
The park has a towering Portal Maya sculpture a bronze artwork symbolizing Mayan Culture , with representation of the hoops used in the ancient Mayan ball game. A small stage area under the arch musicians and dancers who are painted and decked in feather headgear, perform ethnographic dances to the gathering crowds.
Nearby you'll see and hear traditional Totonac performances, from artists from Veracruz state who perform a spiral drop performance as they spiral down a 30 meter pole 'Danza de los Voladores' (Dance of the Flyers)
The hats will be passed around to collect on behalf of both performances, well worth the time and money, taking in the scenery of the beach opposite and the ambience of this unique place.
