点评：Had a day trip to Baranti from Purulia, We visited during the evening time and enjoyed the Sunset at Baranti Lake against the backdrop of hill. The drive from Purulia was smooth, however there was a short stretch of katcha road at the entry point of lake. When we visited the lakefront was crowded with tourists and vehicles. Several vendors, selling Tea, Ice cream etc.. were also available at the site. The lakefront road is narrow and crowded, making the drive difficult. The place has a nice scenic beauty with lake and hill, we enjoyed the sunset view against the backdrop of lake and hill. We also had evening tea and ice cream break at site. While return, it was dark and we tried to exit from the other side of the lake through the village. The village road was dark, narrow and broken too, however after around 10 km drive, we were advised by the villagers not to proceed further as there existed a crowded village market, which may make it difficult to drive through. Basis villagers advice, we again returned and exited through the same route from where we entered. Several hotels / home stays are available at Baranti. Our day trip was somehow hurried, may be a night stay would have been more comfortable to explore the natural beauty.
