Worth the hike to get here!

点评：This place was a little difficult to get to but only because it was hot and we carried our snorkeling gear with us. It was about 45 minutes to hike along a beautiful paved somewhat hilly trail that may be slippery when wet, but was easy for us in the sunshine. The trailhead has a bathroom-use it! It’s the last one you will see until you return. There are stairs built into the lava rocks and some wooden planks to sit on and don your gear. Don’t bring or leave any valuables while you snorkel-there is nowhere to leave them. Just bring plenty of drinking water and whatever you need to jump into the sea and enjoy the beautiful vistas. Also, the waves can be strong, so mind that you don’t forget to glance at your own proximity to the lava rock walls. Stay clear & don’t get pushed into them. There were sea lions and green sea turtles playing all around us, many schools of beautiful fish and plenty to enjoy here. It was well worth the hike!
