Look past the facade and stereotypes, this is a gem.
The National Videogame Museum的点评
点评:£14 is a fair whack so if you do go make the most of it. Recommend a jumper or cardigan as it is surprisingly cold and worse still it looks closed as it is in a run-down area of Sheffield (nowhere else was open nearby) and there is a sign currently on the door that says 'walk closer our sensors are a bit slow' Worrying for a tech museum.....
Now the negatives are out the way let's deal with the positives. 95% of the exhibits are free to play including rock band (this is popular so prepare to wait). The exhibits that are not for handson experience are encased with plenty of information as you gaze at how primitive computers were back in the 70's and 80's.
Super Mario 64, Tekken, Crash Bandicoot, Track & field, Space Invaders, Pac-Man and a game involving a bathtub, rubber ducks and a PS3 are among the exhibits and instructions are given for those not old enough to renember the games when they came out.
A fun diversion that really needs a family package to get families involved as it's a rarity this one. A museum that is genuinely fun.
