Highlight - the South West Coastal Walking Path
North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty的点评
点评：North Devon is off the beaten track for most overseas tourists but for those who have the time to explore, this is a very ruggedly beautiful part of England.
It’s not an exaggeration to label it as an area of outstanding beauty. The most dramatic landscapes feature near-vertical coastal cliffs, waterfalls, hidden coves and rocky shores. Hartland Quay with its craggy rock formations, stood out for its wild landscape.
However there is a lot of variety. Beaches like Woolacoombe are very popular, family-friendly, sandy beaches where you can swim, lie on the sand, build sandcastles with the kids or watch surfers taking to the waves.
The highlight for us was walking various sections of the South West Coastal Path.
We spent 7 days in the area which was a decent amount of time to see a lot although of course, we couldn’t see everything (the are covers 171 square km).
We stayed at Lynton, Ilfracombe and Hartland which were all good bases for exploring the area.
