点评:We have walked Fluted Cape before, but now in our mid 70's we found the clockwise route pretty tough going. It's a steep climb right next to the cliff edge, but we expect that going anti-clockwise might be even worse. Doing that and coming north down the cliff-side path would be steep, slippery, and hard on the knees with its rough rocky surface, tree roots, etc. As others have said, about 2 1/2 hours is about right, allowing time to admire the views. Again the views are another reason to go clockwise, as the 200 metre+ basalt columns open up in front of you for great photos. This trail is not as good as many others in Tas and may not even be the best trail on Bruny Island. However, its a nice way to pass the time if waiting for friends doing a Pennicott cruise, albeit that some track maintenace would improve it greatly. (signage is adequate though)
