点评:There were two annoying niggles before we started. Firstly the gallery only took cash not card. This is meant to attract people and tourists – insisting on cash only seems very odd. Secondly, there is no warning that you have to deposit your shoes and therefore must be wearing socks. That’s a problem on a hot day if you are wearing sandals or open toed shoes. Why not make this clear, and why insist on socks only anyway. Its hardly as though the floors were painted so delicately. This isn’t very friendly.
The exhibition itself is quite fun – some of the paintings are clever. However whilst the many projections are good – they aren’t as sharp as we are used to these days and whilst painting are unique, the comparators for projections are films and graphics on our screens, most of which are at least 4k – but the resolution here seemed lacking.
Some of the rooms are great – the light bulb room with its almost total reflective services is great – so is the noir room, very well done.
I stayed for an hour and that seemed about right.
