Anniversary walk, which was not ‘easy’ as advertised! Amazing scenery and sea views though!
Heddon's Mouth- South West Coast Path Walk的点评
点评：Car park terrain was bumpy, uneven and with water-filled pot holes due to bad weather when we visited. Not impressed having to pay for a poorly-maintained car park. On-site toilets were very unpleasant - floor soaking wet (slip hazard) with nasty spiders, plus lack of soap in one, and a horrible stench of urine!
National Trust claim the walk to Heddon’s Mouth is ‘easy’ and ‘gentle’. This is not true! The walk was definitely moderate, with rocky terrain and lots of steep inclines/declines, made more challenging by the rain. It took us around 35 minutes in each direction, therefore it was a good job we paid extra money for the car park (one hour, as misadvised by a male staff member, would not be enough!) However, the scenery along the way was nice and autumnal. Lovely to hear the rushing river. The sea views at the end of the walk were very impressive and picturesque! Definitely worth braving the trek just for that! It helped make our anniversary even more special. Bought some reasonably priced sweet treats and drinks from the shop afterwards, female staff member was friendly and helpful.
