Fun, relaxing flow thru the river immersed in nature

点评：We booked the long tubing tour on the Don Diego River with Kogui Tours and had a great time. To start, you’ll need to get to the venue using your own transportation—it’s about a 20-minute drive from Palomino. From there, a motorized boat takes you upriver. At one point, you disembark in the forest and take a short 15-minute walk to the tubing launch point.
Then the magic begins: just let the river carry you. It’s a peaceful and scenic ride, gliding through nature and spotting wildlife along the way. We saw a wide variety of animals, including kingfishers, pelicans, iguanas, turtles, monkeys, alligators, and many types of birds. The alligators are small and, as we were told, completely harmless—they’re actually a highlight to see in the wild.
The trip ends on a wild beach with a charming little chiringuito where you can enjoy fresh coconut, mangos, drinks, and some excellent ceviche.
Our guide was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced, making the whole journey even more enjoyable.
Safety-wise, we felt completely secure throughout. The current picks up slightly in a couple of spots, but it’s smooth and there’s no risk of capsizing—though it’s worth noting that all of us are comfortable in the water and confident swimmers.
That said, be prepared to adapt to Colombian standards, which are a bit more relaxed than what you might expect in Europe. Still, everything felt safe and well managed.
All in all, a beautiful, laid-back adventure that we highly recommend.
