点评：Out of the way but worth the trip! We had a private car take us to Hampden Estate -- the oldest rum distillery in Jamaica. Shelley Anne was a fabulous tour guide. She walked us through the distillery process while seated comfortably in the shade, then we were off to see the equipment. The air was full of the their unique rum ether. MMM so good.
Book the lunch with the tour. We are not big fans of Jamaican Jerk seasoning, so we opted for the vegetarian dish, which was quiche. there were 3 kinds - each of us had a different flavor and they were awesome. I'd go for the chicken next time because the chef gave us a taste of his special barbecue sauce and it was so good we wanted to take it home.
I'm not a shot drinker, but my spouse loved the tastings. (I liked the mixed drink better but that's me).
Leave plenty of time to get there as some of the roads are in disrepair but it's worth it.
