点评:While nobody can question the importance of such a wonderful cause, saving injured or abused wildlife in a sanctuary, my wife and I were somewhat disappointed by the simple walk around 10 outdoor cages to observe sanctuary animals (howler monkeys, tucans, wild boar, turtles, and raccoons). Our guide, Nelson, was excellent - very engaged and passionate about what he was doing, and he provided a detailed slide show of the mission of this international wildlife rescue centre.
Perhaps our expectations were higher, given all of the five-star ratings, or perhaps people have difficulty rating such of an NGO as average, but on the whole this experience did not live up to our high expectations. The US$120 entrance fee per couple (CDN$170) is pretty steep for what amounts to a 45-minute slide show, a 45-minute walkabout. If you decide to go, your money is going to an excellent cause, but don’t think you’ll get a true 5-star experience.
