点评:I traveled to this a bit out of the way market to peruse and purchase authentic Uzbek textiles. At the very back of this busy market are approximately twenty stalls that sell wonderful new, vintage and antique textiles from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Gorgeous regional suzanis stacked up in cramped stalls with scattered offerings of traditional bridal attire with head /face coverings called paranjas entice textile collectors such as myself. Many vendors have traditional accessories such as skull caps and do’ppis. I saw gorgeous hand woven ribbons that were so intricately woven that I wanted to purchase every inch of them. A few of the sellers spoke English and all were eager to sell their textiles once they realized that one was actually purchasing items and not just browsing. Because I was there to purchase textiles, I spent very little time wandering around the market which was very busy. This market is only available a few days if the week so plan accordingly.
