点评：Probably the easiest climb up a mountain ever!
Piduruthalagala is the highest mountain in Sri Lanka and you can go all the way up in a vehicle! It's only 6 kms (will take you around 10 mts) from the entry point and the road is in very good conditon. (They allow any vehicle except for large buses).
The views at the top are absolutely stunning!!!! You get a 360 degree view and you can basically see all other mountain ranges in the country. We were told that on clear nights, you can even see the Colombo Port!
We were told that the views would depend on the weather. We had a very clear view on the day we went. But we were also told to get there before 10 am for better views.
Google maps to the entry point is accurate. First there is a check point of Wildlife Dept where you have to buy LKR 75 per person ticket (not sure if a different price is charged from foreigners).
Second is an army check point where you have to write down your names, NIC etc. They were very friendly, told us not to get down at any point on the way up and also gave their number in case we needed any assistance on the way up.
Once you go up, there is quite a large car park. You can park their and walk a up a bit to get to the point which is marked as the highest point in the mountain. There are places where you will not be allowed to go (it is a high security zone) and there were also notices saying not to take any pics at the top.
There is a small Cafe and I think there were washrooms. We went on a working day (but it was a sandwich day between a weekend and a public holiday.) And the car park had 10- 15 vehicles by the time we left around 11 am. The road up isn't that narrow, but it would be advisable to avoid holidays, weekends and to go as early as possible to avoid traffic jams. (I assume they would open the gates around 8 am).
