点评:I honestly can’t believe how badly we were treated by P&O Ferries. We had a valid, paid booking but were denied boarding because they issued the wrong ticket a mistake on their part, not ours. We were even allowed to drive onto the ferry, only to be shouted at and kicked off shortly after.
What made it worse was overhearing staff admit they were doing this on purpose. It seems they knew they couldn’t fit everyone on the ferry, so rather than manage it properly, they deliberately printed the wrong tickets to shift people onto later sailings.
When we got to the boarding point, they were checking tickets for the cars ahead of us, but as soon as it was our turn, the staff just walked away to havd a cigarette. No instruction and drove on once on board the real attitude started. We were treated like we’d done something wrong, when in reality, the staff weren’t even doing their jobs.
To top it off, one of the staff was smoking on duty in full view of passengers. Honestly, it just summed up the lack of professionalism we experienced.
There was no apology, no effort to fix the situation just blame and hostility. It was stressful, upsetting, and totally avoidable if they’d just acted with a bit of care and honesty.
I’d seriously recommend looking at other ferry operators. P&O Ferries completely let us down.
