A great day out in Dorset.
Dorset Nectar Cider的点评
点评：My wife and I accompanied by our son and his partner visited Dorset Nectar. We had previously booked our tour and ploughman’s lunch. Do book first to be sure of not wasting your journey.
Dorset Nectar is just north of Bridport and to get to it you will travel along narrow winding lanes in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted by a member of the family who own, run and care for this beautiful orchard and cider making equipment.
We were taken on a tour of the orchard and the amount of information we heard was brilliant. From the history of cider making both in the UK and around the world. After our tour of the orchard we were shown the actual machinery and the fermentation vats. We were then taken indoors to sample several of the products. All are excellent and pure as no pesticides are used anywhere at Dorset Nectar.
After the tasting we had our ploughman’s lunch. The amount of food we were given was very generous. For us the best part was the homemade sausage roll. (Eat your heart out Greggs)
Needless to say we bought some of their excellent products. In particular the Apple cider vinegar - with The Mother. If you don’t know what this means just listen when you have your tour.
We consider that we had terrific value for money and have no hesitation in recommending a visit to Dorset Nectar. We shall be back in May to see the apple blossom and have another ploughman’s lunch.
