Just Passing Through on a Tuesday, when Many Attractions in the Area are closed

点评：This was supposed to be our second stop after Whistling Gardens, but it was a Tuesday and, we discovered to our chagrin when we arrived at Whistling Gardens, that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, even during the summer tourist season.
So, we then aimed to see whatever interesting happened to be in the vicinity, because we had driven all the way down from Toronto.
Many of the stores and museums in the area are also closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
We drove down to the waterfront in Port Dover and strolled around.
We first checked out the beach, which was pretty dirty and had an alarming sign posted at its entrance; this did not concern the locals, many of whom were frolicking in the water.
We checked out a few souvenir shops and then walked out to this lighthouse.
The lighthouse is not open.One cannot enter the padlocked door and climb up to get a view.
As well,there are no historical signs to explain the history of the lighthouse.
There were some men fishing and benches to sit on to watch the boats going by.
You can take pictures, if that is your thing, as it is mine.
I had never been in Port Dover. Now I can say that I have .
