So very, very disappointed in the treatment by staff

点评：I visited Anderton Nursery this past weekend and was appalled at the treatment I received...I was so surprised! I am an ardent gardener and love to shop locally and, have therefore, bought my plants here for as long as I can remember. I even don’t mind paying a bit more for them as it is a local business,
Well I got to the store and was given a dry antiseptic wipe then proceeded to look for the basket stuffers. There was a sweet young lady who wandered around with me and was an immense help. We managed to find a few, as it is still early in the year, and I was on my way to pay for them. I could see a woman at the cashier not yet finished, so I walked slowly up the aisle towards the till, admiring the plants as I did so. A man walked up to me and told me they were closing now so I said ok, I’ll be right there to which he said “no, I mean like RIGHT now”...I was quite shocked so I proceeded the next six feet quickly only to be told by the cashier to back off because there was a lady there ? who was still looking around and wasn’t ready to pay yet. Well, I stood there for 5 minutes while the other lady wandered around and was deciding what to buy and even put back something as she had decided against it. Five minutes!
Well, all I can say was this was extremely belittling and embarrassing treatment of any business but especially of a local, Comox Valley family run business, which is how they rightly proudly advertise, but all I can say is, there are other local, family run businesses that will now have my business.
