点评:My wife and our two daughters (13 and 18) came to Japan for the first time. Naturally, we wanted to see as much as possible amid sakura blossoming, and put together a pretty intensive 12 nights itinerary. Japanese cuisine was also in focus for us, not only because we love it, but also because our youngest is passionate about cooking.
Our guide advised us to book a class with Yuriko in advance. We arrived at her very cosy house, maybe some 15 minutes from Ginza where we stayed, in late morning after having early breakfast at Tsukiji market, so we were not very hungry. It’s been agreed by mail that we will cook from scratch Kitsune Udon (noodles handmade by ourselves), Green beans in sesame sweet dressing and Dorayak, Japanese pancakes.
My initial thought was that 1,5-2 hours would be enough for this experience, but it was all so entertaining, culturally enriching and thorough in every detail that we didn’t notice how the allotted three hours flew by. We were amazed at how organized and clean Yuriko's kitchen was during all phases of food processing. The food we prepared and ate with great appetite at Yuriko’s house turned out to be one of the best gastronomic experiences of our Japanese trip (and we, like real gourmets, ate a lot of different and interesting Japanese food during this trip).
My family and especially daughters were all absolutely delighted and recalled this visit to Yuriko frequently during our Japanese journey and after returning home.
Thank you, Yuriko!

Yuriko!
