点评：We recently made a stop at Muddy River Distillery in Mount Holly, NC, after hearing about their unique rum offerings. While the distillery exudes a charming, rustic vibe and the staff were welcoming, our experience was a bit of a mixed bag.
Tasting Experience:
We were a bit disappointed to learn that tastings are only offered during their Saturday tours, which run from 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM . This wasn’t clear to us beforehand, and we had hoped for a more flexible tasting schedule. However, the bartender was kind enough to offer us a flight to share, which we appreciated.
Standout Spirits:
The highlight of our visit was the Banana Liqueur. Its sweet, tropical flavor was a delightful surprise, and we ended up purchasing a couple of bottles to take home. The other rums we sampled were decent, but none stood out as exceptional.
Atmosphere:
The distillery itself is beautifully set in a historic mill, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. However, during our visit, the place was quite empty, which might have been due to the early hour.
