点评：Having just completed 2 weeks as a volunteer at Soi dog I am already thinking about when I can come back. The induction is great, you order your lunch on arrival, scan a QR code for info on the dogs for your designated pen, you grab your lead, dog pen partner and off you go! You walk rain or shine which if given the preference I would take the rain any day as the temperature drops! Poncho’s are provided for the downpours and you aim to walk a dog every 20 mins around the grounds. Some doggies love to splash in the designated pool, others not. Lunch is delicious and you have free time so go and cuddle cats, who are all very sociable and like a good chin scratch. It’s such therapy!
The pens are meticulously cleaned, the animals are in great condition and the staff are absolute gems. You make an instant volunteer family, all with the sole purpose of giving the dogs much needed respite from their pens and to enjoy all the smells on offer as they go on their walkies. Some are very timid and require ongoing psychological healing, so if you love dogs, and like spending hours getting your step count up then please go and help out. It’s 2 days minimum to volunteer and they need any support on offer for their wonderful, beautiful dogs who have survived physical and emotional trauma.
