Good day shopping but experience in cafe was dismal
Grosvenor Garden Centre的点评
点评：A group of 4 friends went from North Wales to the Grosvenor Garden Centre last Saturday.
1. All stock was impressive, a great variety of gifts, garden decorations etc. We spent far too much in the ladies clothing area as there was such a choice and reasonably priced.
2. Whoever manages the cafe should be sacked. Absolute chaos! We first went for a coffee on arrival, long queues, tables not cleared; buying one item from one till and then being told to queue again at another till, if we wanted a cold drink.
After finishing our shopping, we went back to the cafe for lunch and read we had to leave our baskets of goodies outside the cafe - not sure what happens when it rains? We went in for lunch and the chaos ensued, with staff explaining that 4 had called off sick in the morning. I saw two separate couples leaving the queues having given up and waited so long and two separate diners, returning their cups, as they were dirty inside. I waited 7 minutes for clean glasses to show up on the water stand (after asking), and cleared our own table, which held dirty crockery and cutlery, using napkins and water from the water stand to clean the table. We queried the menu with a waitress. she told us to take no notice of it, as due to the staff shortage some meals wouldn’t be prepared.
We’d travelled for a lovely day out but unfortunately our experience in the cafe, left us very disappointed.
If you want tips on how to run a busy cafe at a garden Centre successfully, I suggest you send someone to the Fron Goch Garden Centre in Caernarfon.
