点评:This was one of our favorite ancient sites to explore in Turkiye. This Lycian site is high in the hills with lots of pine tree cover and shade. There is no fee to enter and no crowds. Excavations are minimal here, which adds to the charm of seeing a site before significant restorations. There is a rest room on site and a few signs indicating what you are looking at along with a very vague map. There is an agora, stadium, theater, baths, cisterns, city walls, tombs, and temples dating back to at least 5th century BC. We had difficulty finding the theater but eventually found it. It was straight up the steep hill directly behind the rest rooms. There are foot paths within the site but little signage. The views from this site (when you get out of the tree cover) are beautiful. I say hills loosely, this site is high in the mountains. There are minimal uncovered remains here over a very large area. Plan to spend at least an hour exploring (or less if moving quickly). The site is out of the way, so I’m not sure if public transportation goes near.
