点评：The brochure and online marketing made this place look like a must-see so we paid the AUD550 (for 2) and jumped on the bus from Port Chalmers with great anticipation. After a long and windy bus ride out there, the place looked very promising - its set on a large and spectacular coastal headland. That was where the fun ended - with very little orientation and NO SAFETY BRIEFING our group of 40 then had to self organize groups of 4 adults into Argos that would comfortably accommodate two and then driven dangerously on rough tracks with minimal commentary and no opportunities to take photos until we stopped down closer to the water at a very pretty little cove. Again, little effort was made to explain what we were seeing (there were a few penguins asleep in their burrows that were woken up so we could see them) and a few seals laying on the rocks... no explanation about the yellow eyed penguins (MIA) which were the major reason for going on this tour. After the minimum amount of time in this nice area, we walked through another boxed penguin area and then swapped onto a minibus with no seatbelts and rushed back up to their run down shop and restaurant. Unbelievable (given what we had paid) that we were not even offered a bottle of water - such a disappointing contrast to other places we visited in NZ. As we drove back down the hill past the Albatross centre, we both wished that we had taken that option instead... This place is an accident waiting to happen and is not worth visiting given all the beautiful areas nearby where locals take pride in what they are offering.
