Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum的点评
点评：Did a group tour which was led by the knowledgeable Peter B who started off by giving an in depth overview of the museum history and Farnborough’s aviation past. We then moved on to the Cody pavilion where there’s a full size replica of the first aircraft that made powered flight in the UK (1908). The main museum building contains a fascinating array of exhibits, as well as flight simulators. Outside are a number of aircraft and helicopters which were mainly used for trials and testing - just
a pity they all have to be subject to the elements and not stored under cover. You get a good view over the modern day airport and incoming/departing aircraft. Inside the main building is a gift shop, second hand book sales and an upstairs cafe. Overall, the museum has something of interest for all ages and is well worth a visit 👍
