Lovely service, great rooms but the prices are a little over the top!

点评：We have stayed at several resort hotels in the area and I enjoyed this one, the price was right and our room was redone and very clean. I heard no construction but there is some going on in guest rooms. Staff overall was great. The atrium balcony room was lovely, you'd think it would be loud and echo-ey but it's really peaceful, ours had a waterfall sound. The pool area is awesome although i have to complain about this "reserved sesting" - literally all the front row full chairs or just in cool spots like along the lazy river require you to pay 40 per chair (on top of your resort fee) otherwise you have to sit in a weird half chair. And they are all zip tied together- which is wrong for us that like to sunbathe like a sundial. You get the feeling you are being gouged for something that should just be included. Speaking of gouging, 2 drinks poolside is about 45 dollars and gratuity is added so the bartenders don't exactly hustle. I think poolside servers are only for the cabanas which was disappointing. Also, another little complaint is no robes in the room. We ate at the steakhouse, the service was fantastic and my husband loved his ribeye. Their gnocchi was amazing, very light in texture. I didn't love the artisan cheeses. The bill was north of $300 for two of us - two glasses of house red wine, cheese, entrees and we split a salad - that's pricier than the nearby Ritz! There is also a great market that does sandwiches, sells beer and wine. I would stay here again for the room, skip the cheese and sides at the restaurant. The pool seems like it can be chaos so maybe pay extra for a cabana if you have 4+ people and will get a full day out of it.
