Very disappointing museum, not recommended.
Wells and Mendip Museum的点评
点评：I've been to Wells many times but never been into the museum before so popped in to have a look. It was a Saturday so I expected it to be busy with visitors but instead, I was met by two very bored looking staff on the desk. I paid my £6 for a ticket and was met with silence. No information given about what's in the museum, where to go, which order to see the rooms, or any room closures (at least one room was definitely closed, another was very poorly lit so I assumed it was also out of bounds). I wandered around but was disappointed with the selection of items. Lots of fossils, gemstones, stone carvings etc. All displayed in very dated cases in a very uninteresting way. I was expecting a history of Wells and the Mendips area but felt I hadn't learnt a thing. It was purely a personal collection of relics displayed in a traditional but boring way.
I honestly wish I'd spent my £6 elsewhere, was a very unfriendly and unwelcoming experience overall.
