Lovely day out, but overpriced and let down by poor café service

点评：We visited Bowood House this weekend as a family and had a brilliant time exploring the grounds. The park and activities were fantastic — the pirate ship, bouncing area, and boat swings were particular highlights for our children. However, the entry prices are very high compared to other local attractions like Longleat, local farms, and the American Museum. We also had an unfortunate experience at the café — we found a hair in a sausage roll, and although the staff swapped it, they made us pay extra to upgrade to a nicer one, which felt a bit rich given the circumstances. There also seemed to be a lot of staff in training while we were there, which made service across the site quite slow. Sadly, the penny-pinching and high prices mean we won’t be visiting very often
