点评:Tried to book online but it didn't give me options for that day, so we took a chance and just turned up and we were able to buy tickets and get in absolutely no problem. Never sure what to expect from 'castles' – you can get a variety of ruins from 'loads to see' to 'just a few partial walls left'. Beaumaris Castle is one of the best castle we've visited. For a 13th century stronghold, it has a remarkable amount still intact. It's a very impressive building – especially when you read just how many people were involved in its making and construction. Loved the fact that, as well as walking around the outer walls (stunning views too) and you see just how massive the place is, there is an awful lot inside the inner structures to see, to the point where it just keeps on going from room to room, up stairs, into the mainly intact chapel - you can poke your head into small rooms, see the fortifications from the inside (and out) and generally be humbled by its size and history, not to mention the impressive moat and the fantastic views across the Menai Straight. If you like castles, then Beaumaris Castle is for you!
This is a place I would go back to if we ever come back to Anglesey.

如果我们再来安格尔西岛,我一定会再来这里。
