Fantastic winery, great wines, and amazing food!
Herdade das Servas - Enoturismo的点评
点评：Had the pleasure of visiting Herdade Das Servas with my wife and another couple and had a fantastic experience.
A little background: We travel extensively and always try to take in the local viniculture. We’ve been to Tuscany, Priorat, Sonoma, Willamette, and many others. Let’s say we know a little something about wine and have experienced numerous winery tours.
We had not visited the Alentejo region before and knew nothing about their grapes/wine. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Eduardo and he could not have been more enthusiastic, knowledgable, or proud of this family run winery. We learned so much about the climate of the region, the grapes, harvest, and vinification. The tour covered the entire process, including tours of the cellars.
And then came the tasting! And what fantastic wines they are. Completely blown away by how delicious this wine is. How did we not know about this wine before??? The answer is that the wine is so good, most if it is consumed locally and very little is exported to the US.
If that wasn’t enough, we then had lunch at their attached and very intimate restaurant. The food and service were top notch and you’ll be surprised to hear that we paired it with some brilliant wine!
Hands down, this will be the highlight of your vacation.
