点评：Around 50 km from Pune, The khandoba temple of Jejuri town is a well known temple in Maharashtra. We had been to this temple when we visited Prati Balaji temple as most of the devotees plan these two temples visit together. Khandoba is one of Maharashtra's great God. Khandoba is Lord Shiva's avatar.
Important Information about this temple:
1. This temple is on a hill, there are about 200 stairs to ascend. There is Ghat road to reach, but only old age people are allowed on this road. If old age people are there with you then you have to show case their Aadhar card so that they will check and allow your car till hill top.
2. The temple priests worship Khandoba using Indian Bael Leaves, turmeric, onion and other Vegetables. They also provide a delicious onion and brinjal dish as Naivedyam.
3. Jejuri Khandoba temple is famous for two Utsav's one is Somvati Utsav an auspicious occasion where golden turmeric powder is offered to Lord Khandoba, Symbolizing fertility and Prosperity. other famous Utsav is Champa Shashti which is six day festival occurs on the sixth day of the Margashirsha month's Shukla Paksha.
