点评:I visited Painshill yesterday with my family and my dog. We had a beautiful walk around the garden it really was full of beautiful views and it was lovely to see the birds and their young. The grotto was a highlight as it is so beautiful photos really don’t do it justice.
It was a lovely way to spend a few hours. I haven’t been for a long time and I remembered the buildings being open to take photos but the ones we visited were roped off which was disappointing as I seem to remember the views from them being beautiful. We spent a couple of hours walking around. Then we visited the cafe we had lovely service there we just had a snack but what we had was good, would recommend. We had smoothies, flapjack, sausage roll and a muffin. We then went to visit the gift shop on our way out, this is where they were let down. I purchased some Easter gifts I picked up one and it was priced at £3.00 so I thought that is reasonable so I purchased five of them and a card. However when I went to pay it was more than I thought I was going to pay. I asked for a receipt and I looked at the goods as I thought I might have been mistaken but I wasn’t as one box had a £3.00 price tag and the others £6.00 so I went back and queried it the lady that served me she just looked and examined the price tag like I had placed the price tag there myself and switched labels and then just checked the price on the till and said it was £6.00 and gave it to me back. I then looked at my receipt and I had been charged £6.01 for the other three. It’s not the principal of it just being three pence more but £3.00 more is more substantial, and the don’t care for customer service attitude.
She had started to cash up early as it was not yet 5 o’clock and just shouted across it is card payment only at me, as she had already started it was just as well I was paying by card as cash would not have been an option. The shop is not that big and she could have come and told me in person. What was a lovely day ended on a bad note which is a shame as I had had a lovely experience up until then, and that was the memory I took back to the car. Please take note it is only one person that can change a customers experience.
