Hasan is the man to show you around. He owns Nijholm Tours, and understands what travellers want to see and do.
We really enjoyed being taken on trips across the rivers, eating at local (but clean) restaurants and taking tuk-tuk rides through the chaotic streets of Dhaka. The overnight ferry trip from Dhaka to Barisol was a major highlight.
The houseboat tour in the Sundarban was excellent - I recommend binoculars for the birdlife. The crew were really helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and more than plentiful.
Hasan is very aware of cleanliness, important in Bangladesh, and is very knowledgeable about the history of his country. If you are going to Bangladesh then go with Nijholm Tours, they set the standard.
