点评:I used to come out here when I was little with my older brother all the time usually to the Macys or American Eagle. The first sign that made me realize it’s decline was when the vacant stores started to appear. The mall that once thrived with stores now just looked sad with large empty gaps between stores and all that’s left is the label scar and the memories made in the space. The second( and in my opinion the worst) Death blow to the mall was the leaving of Macys ( former Famous Barr). Don’t get me wrong there was better Macys department stores but when Macys vacated its space, it killed a lot of the mall and started a domino effect. Just a large blank space in the mall that was just visibly unappealing to the normal consumer. Slowly the vacant stores started happening once again and than the next blow. Penney’s Announcement of leaving and the 3rd blow, So Macys definitely made a mark as it left but Penney’s who was a day one store just vacated its spot really fast but it was just one store along the list of 100 something others. They managed to lease out the small to planet fitness and a H&M that closed quickly. Finally the last blows came with Bergner’s owners Bon Ton Kicking the bucket and announcing the closure of all its stores and subsidiaries stores and Bergners was one of them with the store going dark in August of 2018 and Sears to follow up with their bankruptcy, Sears would shutter before the end of the year leaving Kohls as the last anchor. At this time Kohls is the last full anchor holding down the mall along with ulta and planet fitness. CBL isn’t doing a swell job at keeping the mall a float and there is only 1 area where the mall thrives which is near the old Penney’s mall entrance ( right where H&M is that is now closed). If you go explore near the Macys wing or Bergners wing it looks like your heading over to the backrooms. I hope the best for this mall and I apologize for the large review I just love this mall and hold her dearly.
