AFAS Stadium的点评
点评：Upon approach to the stadium it can be quite deceiving as it looks rather large. In fact it only holds 19500 and only 950 tickets are given to the away support. I'm told that it rarely sells out apart from the big 3 team visiting from the Netherlands. I was at the Europa League last 16 tie against Tottenham and the attendance was only 18200 meaning 1300 empty seats. It has a nice concourse where you can walk all the way around the stadium but it's only accessible on half its perimeter due to their being a moat running around the other half. The structure itself looks like a lot of stadia and although it's positioning is right next to the motorway for easy access away from the ground, you also have to negotiate a couple of roundabouts so that would seemingly cause traffic issues when arriving at the wrong time. The stands are oval shaped with the majority of them in red with white pylons. The name /Stadion AFAS' appears is some places on the outer stands along with AZ wording. Inside the stadium the view from the away enclosure is a very good one. You're in the corner but you can see all parts of the stadium without any issues and unlike other Dutch stadia I've been to, there's no annoying netting obscuring your view. The atmosphere that was generated by the home fans was mediocre - mainly due to the attendance. Overall it's a decent little ground and I was away from it on the shuttle bus within 10 minutes of the final whistle even though we were told we could be kept inside up to an hour afterwards.
