点评：This is a lovely garden-a hidden gem. We had a bite to eat in the cafe first which serves a variety of standard fare which was good. There is a small shop you go to at the entrance and then you get into the garden itself. We explored the walled garden first. Despite it being late autumn there was still a lot of interest in the garden and a surprising amount of colour. At the other end of the garden is a small lake which looked beautiful in the glorious, late afternoon sunshine. After the walled garden we walked down to the wooded area which had some magnificent trees. The pond is very picturesque and quite large and in the middle of the tree area. We did not have time to explore more of the gardens as we had to get to our hotel but I would be very happy to go back to see more of it.
We spent about 2 hours in the gardens including about 30 minutes having lunch. I would give yourself a whole morning or afternoon to visit.
