A few minutes from the ferry - definitely worth it!

点评：Do you want to see the essence of St. John captured by a highly skilled artist? Then just go 5 minutes out of Cruz Bay center to view Elaine Estern's incredible art. She has lived on the island since the 70's, so she has explored every inch of it under water and above. Sadly, the reefs are barely a shadow of their former selves, but she can show you what they looked like in all their glory!
If you have $1000s to invest in an original piece, you will find something you and your family will treasure for generations. If you are like me, with little money but a great appreciation of artistic talent, there is also plenty to enjoy, and smaller items such as cards, prints, and ornaments. No generic island kitsch found here - simply the unique vision of an extraordinary artist.
If you are really lucky, you will be able to speak with Ms. Estern yourself to learn about her inspirations for each work. She is a lovely woman, and we were fortunate to spend time chatting about how the island used to be before such intense hurricanes, millions of tourists, and global warming.
