Beautiful location and experience you expect from Virgin select

点评：This is the second Virgin select property we have stayed at (Kasbah Tamadot the other) and was one of the reasons we selected it. It is in a beautiful location in Franschhoek ( with its little shops and eateries) and is within walking distance of the town. Checking in was painless, car was parked for us and bags were in our room by the time we had a personal tour of the facilities. Our room was extremely spacious, separate living area, large walk in shower, separate toilet and a private outdoor area with pool and sun beds overlooking the neighbouring vineyards and surrounding peaks. As the nature park (with its hiking trails) was covered in low cloud we walked (it was sunny in the valley) around the property and through the different grape plantings (the hike up the hill was a heart starter) and into town. Decent walk as we covered about 5k in total. We also tried the hotel gym, its well appointed with free weights, a couple of treads, a bike and a watt bike (also a view out of the windows which is always appreciated in a hotel gym). we ate in the restaurant both nights, lovely service and great (if small) menu .. with a huge wine choice (unsurprisingly) .. would recommend to go with the Miko in house choice of several varieties. Would recommend as a luxury experience.
