点评：Uluwatu Temple is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking places in Bali. Set dramatically atop a towering cliff, it offers truly spectacular views of the Indian Ocean, with the waves crashing far below. The scenery here is simply unforgettable and the sunset views are some of the most beautiful you will find anywhere on the island.
The temple itself is rich in Balinese culture and history, surrounded by traditional architecture and statues that add to its spiritual and mystical feel. Walking around the temple grounds with the ocean breeze and endless blue sky all around is an experience not to be missed.
However, one thing visitors should be cautious about is the presence of monkeys around the temple. While they are interesting to watch, some of them can be aggressive and unpredictable. We found it a little scary at times, especially when they tried to snatch belongings from tourists. It does make the place feel a bit unsafe if you’re not careful. It’s important to hold on tightly to personal items like sunglasses, hats, and phones.
We highly recommend staying for the Kecak Fire Dance performance, which takes place at sunset against the backdrop of the glowing sky and ocean. It’s an enchanting cultural show that really completes the experience.
A few tips: dress respectfully (sarongs are available if needed), wear comfortable shoes for walking, and stay alert around the monkeys.
In summary, Uluwatu Temple offers an incredible combination of natural beauty, cultural depth, and stunning cliffside views, but do stay cautious because of the monkeys.
